Petition
We the undersigned petition the European Parliament to ban the use of acoustic dispersal devices, such as the Mosquito, across all European members states.
Background information
These devices indiscriminately target younger people causing many of them irritation, discomfort and in some cases pain which may violate sections 8 and 14 of the European Convention on Human Rights. A Council of Europe report has already found them to be "degrading and discriminatory" (http://assembly.coe.int/Main.asp?link=/Documents/Records/2010/E/1006251000E.htm).
