Petition
The Petitioner wants the Council to ensure accessibility onto and off the Banana Bridge for wheeled vehicles (non-motorised), such as pushchairs, prams, and bicycles. Now, crossing the Langton Street Bridge (aka Banana Bridge), between York Road and Clarence Road involves negotiating numerous steps; so wheels need to be lifted. Ramps are needed. Sign this petition to show you agree with the need to install effective ramps.
Background information
There is some metal guttering in place, which does not work, as it is both too close to the railings, and at the wrong angle to accommodate bicycles. It is also only single track, so useless for pushchairs, prams and buggies.
