Petition
We the undersigned call upon Bristol City Council to seek removal of the ugly billboards on Stokes Croft.
The two hoardings on the corners with City Road and Jamaica Street damage the visual amenity of the area, may distract drivers causing safety issues and do not fit with our aspirations for the area.
Background information
There have been billboards on the corner of Stokes Croft and Jamaica Street and the corner of Stokes Croft and City Road for many years. Both have planning permission, but are considered by many to be detrimental to both the appearance and safety of the area.
By signing this petition we are asking that the council explores all avenues to remove these two billboards, as part of the continuing work to improve the Stokes Croft area.
