The Petitioner....requests that there is a provision of community facilities in Manor Farm, Horfield as there is a high proportion of elderly and disabled people along with young mums who would welcome a centre on the estate where they can meet and have a chat or learn something new.

Background information

The estate has never had a community facility and when meetings are held it is a struggle to get people to attend if they have to go out of the area.We want somewhere that can be used as a base and to get the young and the not so young to interact with each other and teach each other skills. Or just somewhere where they can drop in for a coffee and a chat. It would also be very useful to the local Councillors for holding surgeries in the area as the only surgery held is in Upper Horfield which is to far for a majority of our residents to travel to.
