Petition
To stop the use of Noisy Petrol-Engine Leaf Blowers at Blaise Castle Estate And Preserve the Peaceful, Natural Sanctuary that Blaise Castle is. Stop The Council Being Wasteful, Pollutant and Lazy and Use a Rake or Brush Instead.
Background information
The Problem: Many people go to Blaise to enjoy the peace and sanctity it offers. However the leaf blower machine is so noisy it completely desecrates the atmosphere as well as pollutes the atomosphere with its petrol engine. It is used very regularly and can be heard from one side of the estate, to the other.
It is noted that the operator has to wear ear muffs the machine is so loud. It is also noted that the leaf blower is quite fanciful just to just blow leaves from a path when a rake or brush would be more sustainable, cleaner, and better at the job. I offer that it is mere laziness in using the leaf blower and has many more negative points to its use than positive. Its not about wanting to wade through leaves its about the amount of noise and nastiness the machine makes causing damage to the very nature and sanctuary of Blaise.
Whats the point in using Blaise as a place to get away from it all if you have to put up with that kind of awful noise?
The Proposal:
To use a rake or good brush to clear the leaves from the paths of Blaise as necessary. it would be more effective, quicker, sustainable and emit no pollutants or noise as well as cut costs for the Council.
