We, the Undersigned wish for Grove Woods, Blackberry Hill, Stapleton to be compulsorily purchased from its existing owner and be a designated wildlife reserve as was the case with land at Royate Hill.

Background information

The current owner of this site has a list of planning violations against him and has already begun the destruction of this valuable area which is home to kingfishers, bats and otters. The conservation area status that the land already enjoys is obviously not enough to stop speculators and developers wanting to ruin it. The purchase of the area by the council is vital to preserve the unique character of the area.
