Petition

Objection to the planning application to build flats on the Queens Head Beer Garden - Easton.

Background information

The Queens Head Beer Garden has been used as a community space for over a decade and recently a planning application has been made for flats to be built on it.
If this goes through we would lose a safe, syringe free space in Easton, establised trees would be cut down, wildlife would lose habitats, the lane next to the garden would be darker and more dangerous and local businesses would be directly affected by act of sunlight, over crowding and noise restrictions.

We also feel there has been a lack of community consultation in this planning application.

A decision will have to be made soon and this petition will run out on the 30th June 2008.

Please take a moment to email Cllr Susan O'Donnell who is requesting that this application is referred to the Central Development Control Committee for review. This would make the process more transparent and mean that members of the public would have a say.

Thank you!
