Gloucester Road is full of litter, old bank statements, dumped charity donations, rubbish and even vomit every morning. The council allows the businesses, bars, take-aways etc that attract people from outside the area who contribute to the mess - the council also collects significant rates from these businesses. The area, including Gloucester Road and surrounding streets, should be cleaned EVERY NIGHT, it would be in any other city in Europe.

Background information

Gloucester Rd and the surrounding streets attract many visitors during the week and at the weekends. It would be better for all, visitor and resident alike, if the streets were cleaned by machine more frequently. Preferably every night. We pay very high rates as do the local businesses. As recipient of these rates the council has an obligation to direct more resources at keeping the place clean - I hope that you agree and appreciate your support.
