This petition is in regards to the pending planning permission 07/04935/F on property 77-79 Stokes Croft Bristol.

Background information

We are Stokes Croft Studios, an artists cooperative who have occupied the top floor of 77-79 Stokes Croft continuously since 1985. As long standing tenants we feel we have made a valuable and worthwhile contribution to the local community and economy. We have provided working space to over 200 aspiring and established artists in this time and have always had a long waiting list for our services, as we do today.We would very much like to be part of any development of 77-79 Stokes Croft but feel the plans as set out potentially exclude us from it and may therefore leave us with having to move our work and residency out of this area. Issues include: 1. The new development plans point to unaffordable Studio Space, 2. We are concerned as to the mixture of residential and business space in the plan, Light issues posed by the new plans, and other issues that will be outlined in a document to be added at a later date.
