Petition
The petitioner request that Bristol City Council honours the commitment made to upgrade kitchen facilities at Ashton Gate Primary School so that pupils can enjoy a full menu of healthy school meals prepared and cooked at the school by our school cook
Background information
Ashton Gate Primary has 300+ pupils. Many already eat school meals - more would if we could improve the freshness and variety of meals. We can only improve our school meals with a fully functioning school kitchen.
The school buildings are very old (dating to the 1880s) maintaining them is a costly business which unfortunately means we don't have the funds within the school budget to do everything we'd like to - such as refit our kitchen. Only with council support can we afford to improve the school kitchen.
