There have been a number of deaths due to people falling into the waters around Bristol and Bath recently. In our view, it's getting to the point now where it's just not safe for people to walk by any open water. With regard to Bristol, we feel there need to be further fences or railings to help stop people falling in! This needs to change!

Background information

Bristol Water Safety. In our view, further fencing and rails are needed.

NOTE: Bristol City Council notes the petition organiser’s view on this matter. For clarity, the Council would wish to point out that, in fact, there is already railing round much of the Bristol harbour area, including the area near the Thekla. Bristol City Council has no control over areas that fall outside the city boundary, e.g. Bath.
